March 2026: two-book deal signed with No Exit Press for the DI Bolam Suffolk crime series, with The Custodian due to be published in November 2026. The second novel in the series will be out in 2027.
Also March 2026: my short story "It's Complicated" published in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine (Mar/Apr 2026).
February 2026: my short story "Wrong Notes" published in Black Cat Weekly.
January 2026: Lovely to have a piece of flash fiction, "The Youth of Today", accepted and very rapidly published by Urban Pigs Press.
December 2025: I was delighted to receive an email this morning, telling me I'd had a story accepted for the next Crime Writers' Association anthology. My story, "Old Friends", will be in Guilty Secrets, edited by Martin Edwards, to be published by Flame Tree Press in July 2026. A few days later, I finished the year with a story acceptance from Cold Caller for "In the Ruins".
I have short stories in back-to-back-to-back issues of Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine (Nov/Dec 2025), Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine (Jan/Feb 2026), and then Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine (Mar/Apr 2026) again.
I regularly contribute crime fiction news items to the Dead East newsletter.
